Over the past four weeks, my wife and I have hopped between four different hotels in Abu Dhabi, including a Wyndham property that delivered exactly what you’d expect—solid, predictable quality. But then we decided to throw caution to the wind and try this "unknown" little gem. Why? Its proximity to Hamdan Center—a spot we hold dear for nostalgic strolls and bargain hunts. And boy, did this place blow us away!
First off, the staff? Absolute rockstars. Genuinely kind and attentive without that forced politeness you sometimes get. The room? Small, sure, but packed with everything you need and surprisingly modern for a non-chain hotel. Bonus points for having CNN on the TV—finally, something other than endless free-to-air channels!
Their toiletries didn’t make me feel like I was auditioning for a "chemical burns survivor" show, and the amenities were spot on for a short stay. The only downside? The gym was hotter than a desert barbecue thanks to the lack of A/C or windows. Thankfully, winter saved the day, but I wouldn’t want to try it in summer unless I was training for a sauna endurance competition.
Checkout was a breeze—ten seconds flat with a cheerful reminder to double-check for forgotten items. That final farewell sealed the deal—they’ll definitely be seeing us again.
This place is the blueprint for budget hotels done right: fantastic service, spotless rooms, all the essentials, loads of parking, and a location that’s as convenient as it gets. Five stars all the way—and not just because of CNN! |
